{ Original Title: 보스 빗치 베이비 | Publisher: Tappytoon | Audience: Mature }
Yoosung and Hojin are still going at it. (Oh my, look at the state of Hojin’s back.)
But hey, at least they manage to grab the fried chicken delivery from the bodyguards at the entrance while they’re doing their thing. The poor guards have no idea what’s happening on the other side of the door. ?
A little later after cleaning up, a refreshed Yoosung learns through messages on his phone that the source of the missing flyers is Hojin’s biological father. He’s the owner of a small construction company and has recently started looking for Hojin, even after 20 years apart. Hm, that’s strange. Yoosung wonders if his father is alive and doing relatively well, why hasn’t Hojin asked him for help with his debt?
Hojin, walking into the room after retrieving the now cold fried chicken, sees that his employer is once again deep in thought. He tries to catch Yoosung’s attention by doing a cute little chibi Hojin chicken dance.
And it works. As the two are enjoying the meal, Yoosung nonchalantly asks Hojin about his relationship with his family. Hojin expresses his surprise that Yoosung doesn’t already know the story. Didn’t the Executive Director look into his background? His mother died and his brother took off. Then, he adds that his father runs a construction company but they’re total strangers.
This catches Yoosung off guard. So Hojin knew about his dad this entire time? Hojin hesitates to explain why he didn’t contact his father, saying that it’s not something that’s easy for him to talk about without the assistance of alcohol. Yoosung realizes this means Hojin is purposefully rejecting what is possibly his only means of escape from this contractual relationship.
And that makes Yoosung happy.
Yoosung realizes that he wants Hojin to be unhappy because Hojin’s misfortune is to his benefit. But Yoosung still has this uneasy feeling that something’s off. He decides that to quell his uneasiness, he must learn everything about Hojin.
Okay, Mr. Red Flag.
It’s really hard to like Yoosung… at least at this point in the story. Yes, I feel sorry for him and what happened when he was younger, and I pity him that he has such a psychotic family, but like wow dude. That doesn’t excuse you being a selfish, sociopathic, violent bastard. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve already finished this manhwa by reading a poor fan translation, so I’ve come to accept Yoosung after seeing the ending. But during my first read through of this story, I had not warmed up to Yoosung yet. At least not the non-chibi version of him lol.
This felt like a particularly short chapter but at least we got both chibi Hojin and chibi Yoosung!
