Episode Summary
While the two are getting busy, Yoosung wonders to himself how stupid Hojin’s past lovers must have been to leave him. Hojin wasn’t good with dirty talk? How ridiculous. They’re all idiots.
Yoosung continues on to theorize that although Hojin says his motivation in life is not to be a victim like his mother, in actuality Hojin just doesn’t want to be abandoned like his father. That’s why Hojin took on all the hardships in each of his relationships and lived as a doormat. His loneliness caused him to keep falling in love over and over again until he eventually ended up in Yoosung’s grasp.
The next morning, Yoosung leaves for work. The setting changes to an underground room where his staff, including Director Yoon, are waiting. In the room is a large bloodied suitcase. In it lies a bloodied, bound and gagged man in his underwear. Pulling the man’s head back, Yoosung says that he didn’t get very far after abandoning his brother. Ah, that’s who this guy is. It’s Hojin’s older brother.
As Yoosung toys with Hojin’s brother, he thinks that as long as he doesn’t abandon Hojin, the Executive Director will get everything he ever wanted. Hojin will be his loyal and devoted lover. He’ll make it so Hojin becomes an arrogant, careless bastard who is only nice to him. While Yoosung can never tell Hojin he loves him, he can at least take care of Hojin’s problems, just like he’s doing now.
Back at the apartment, Hojin is surprised to see someone other than Yoosung and Director Yoon walk in the door… even if this new person does look like Yoosung. It’s Baek Heesung — Yoosung’s younger brother. And it doesn’t seem like he’s there to make friends.
Discussion
I’m honestly too lazy to go back and check, so I apologize if this is a spoiler for anyone, but was it really necessary in terms of the plot for Heesung to be Yoosung’s twin? A non-twin younger brother would have been fine, in my opinion. He doesn’t even look like his twin…. And yes, I’m aware fraternal twins are a thing, but if you’re going to make it a point to make these two twins, then why not have them look more alike?
When it comes to Yoosung “taking care” of Hojin’s older brother as a way to show his love… wow, that’s a stretch. Yoosung comes from a fucked up family, after all. He also has a traumatic past love life, so it makes sense that his views of love are so warped. I just don’t think Hojin’s going to be much of a fan of Yoosung’s way of expressing love.
