Episode Recap

After being injured by Jaekyung, in lieu of pressing charges, Heesung asks for Dan to give him regular PT sessions and Dan agrees. So when the weekend rolls around, Dan heads out to do exactly as he promised. When he steps out of the building, Dan is surprised to find Heesung waiting for him outside of their condo building.

He tells Dan that he has an errand to run before they do his treatment, but it turns out just to be an excuse to take Dan shopping. Dan is embarrassed. He feels like he doesn’t suit any of the stuff that Heesung is buying him. But he continues to go along with what Heesung wants.

During lunch, Heesung asks about Dan and Jaekyung’s living situation. Dan tells him that since he had to move out of his place suddenly, Jaekyung offered him a place to stay. Plus, living together means he can monitor Jaekyung’s condition a lot more closely. Heesung thinks to himself that it’s odd for them to live together, and he even knows about Jaekyung’s jinx but dismisses it like it’s no big deal.

Suddenly, Dan’s phone starts ringing. It’s Jaekyung, demanding that Dan come home to give him his treatment. Heesung tells Dan that it’s fine if he goes; he can just come to his place later when Dan’s done. So Dan rushes home to find Jaekyung laid out on his bed. After two hours, Dan’s getting ready to leave to go meet Heesung once again. Jaekyung offers to give Dan a ride, which gives Dan pause. Jaekyung doesn’t usually do nice favors like this. And it turns out Dan was so right to be hesitant.

Since Jaekyung’s been in a mood lately, he wants Dan to entertain him and cheer him up. After they get into his car, Jaekyung pulls out a vibrating anal plug from a little shopping bag he was carrying. He tells Dan that he has to wear it on the drive to Heesung’s place. Dan looks at the pink contraption in horror. Jaekyung wants him to do what now?

Discussion

I really, really hope Heesung is as he seems: a genuinely nice guy. My manhwa senses are tingling (or it could honestly just be my paranoia lol) that he’s going to be as bad or maybe even worse than Jaekyung is to Dan. Please, please, please let me be wrong!!

And I love seeing Dan getting spoiled by Heesung. He’s clearly uncomfortable with all the gifts and the attention, but our baby boy deserves it with everything that he’s been through and with everything that Jaekyung puts him through.

The thing I can’t figure out in this episode is why Heesung dismisses Jaekyung’s jinx. Dan says that living with Jaekyung means he can watch his overall condition closely. Heesung internally doubts that, thinking to himself that he knows about Jaekyung’s jinx. Then in the very next panel, his thoughts continue on to say that the jinx doesn’t matter. Is Heesung saying it doesn’t matter because regardless of the jinx, he’s going to continue pursuing Dan? Or does Heesung doubt that Dan can do anything about Jaekyung’s condition because of his jinx? Or maybe the so-called jinx isn’t real? IDK man. Maybe I’m just too dense today to understand.

And I honestly have no idea what Jaekyung has to be so pissy about. All Dan thinks about is Jaekyung. He’s always looking out for his well-being and for ways to repay him. Dan feels so indebted to Jaekyung that he literally does everything he can to ensure Jaekyung is in good shape. And Jaekyung is just over there being pissy and resentful for Dan agreeing to work on Heesung.

I mean, did he even go to the gym when Dan left? Dude probably went out to go buy the sex toy and then went straight back home. Dan leaves around 11:30AM and rushes back home around 2:30PM, and Jaekyung was supposed to be at the gym during that time? Nah, man. My guy is definitely the type to stay at the gym for much longer than three hours. He was probably just thinking of ways to torture Dan entertain himself.
